For our QA team we are looking for a QA Automation Specialist to provide the design and implementation of automated test suites across all projects under development. Responsibilities: A. Technical - Participate in a test automation tool selection process for an automated component testing harness in a Java/TestNG/Ant environment. - Develop and execute automated tests using the selected tool, which will likely require programming in Java, Python or some scripting language. - Perform static analysis of source code using complexity metrics. - Integrate the test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses. - Work with the Architecture team to create and maintain automated nightly build verification (“smoke”) tests. - Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used. B. Non-Technical - Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture and environments. - Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. - Assist the QA Manager in the creation of test project status reports and metrics (e.g., Test Dashboard). - Focus on the important testing and project priorities as agreed-upon with the QA and Project managers. - Provide the QA Manager with accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies. |
Requisitos

| Requisitos mínimos: | - A 4-year-degree in computer science or technical engineering desired, or two additional years of experience in the IT field. - 3 or more years experience in test automation, with at least 1 year of that experience in a Unix Web/database/application server-side browser-based application environment. - Advanced level of Java: objects, encapsulation, algorithms and data types and structures. - Familiarity of the underlying architecture of a multi-tier browser-based application, including operating systems, servers, networking, clients, and browsers. - Practical experience on object-oriented and scripting programming languages. - Advanced level on English |
| Requisitos deseados: | - Previous programming, system administration, or database administration knowledge is a plus. - Certification in a programming language, testing tools or testing skills desirable. |
